Canon’s House offers short break care to children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex health and care needs and behaviours that can be challenging.
We support children and young people aged 5 to 17 to experience stability, familiarisation, a sense of belonging and positive physical, emotional and mental health.
Canon’s House prides itself on a 'whole child' approach, with an emphasis on empathetic, holistic and therapeutic care and support.
We celebrate diversity, promote equality and strive towards achieving positive outcomes for all.
We work in partnership with families and professionals alike, to facilitate care that meets needs of all children and young people.
Children and young people are encouraged and supported to enjoy a range of social and leisure activities and experiences, both within the home and in the community.
We believe disabled children and young people should not be excluded and instead, we focus on empowerment and inclusion.
